Meet Dr. Scarabino
At an early age, I knew it was my calling to become a doctor. I have always wanted to help people stay healthy and take care of them when they are ill. While researching the difference between MDs and DOs, and shadowing various physicians, I was drawn to Osteopathic Medicine. Andrew Taylor Still, MD, DO, the founder of Osteopathy believed that physicians should devote themselves to caring for a person’s health, aiming to restore health rather than fight disease. The human body has the amazing ability to heal from trauma, disease, stress, structural weaknesses, and unhealthy lifestyle choices.
As a traditional Osteopathic Physician (DO), board certified in both Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM)
/Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (NMM), I integrate medical treatment with Osteopathic Manipulation to provide each patient individualized, comprehensive care in order to reduce pain, promote healing, and restore and maintain good health.
The goal of Osteopathic Medicine is to optimize health by restoring the normal structure and function of the body. DOs embrace the understanding that each person is a unique balance of body, mind, and spirit.
"The object of the Physician is to find health, anyone can find disease."
- A.T.Still, MD, DO, Founder of Osteopathic Medicine
